I definitely am feeling the Burnout influence here but, then again, I've never played a NFS game before so can't compare. Still find it weird how Jeff thinks it's more NFS than Burnout. Would kick myself every time I'd hit the wall/a car in Fast Responses as I was always aiming for a perfect run though. Didn't have too much of an issue with most of the Gold's either. I had 100 hours in Burnout 3: Takedown back in the day but just never got into the openness of Paradise. Although, I've put in over 500 hours collectively into Criterion racing games, sooooo I'm kinda OP at playing them at this point. In fact, I would get mad at myself when I would miss a turn after realizing it was a faster route. I also never had a hard time finding my around Paradise. I was always more worried about hitting a wall during the Cop Fast Responses than hitting cars. "I didn't have TOO hard of a time getting all Golds myself. Adds variety but also makes those Gold medals harder to get in theory if a perfect run can be screwed up by unforeseen traffic. That's sort of annoying though - means you can never perfect a lap. It's why I prefer NFS:HP's take on the open world to an extent. Awful memory. Couldn't learn the map so working out routes for the higher level cars at ridiculous speeds was just too much of a hassle. PS- If you are having issues with blinking trees, read this posting.Said: " said: " that explains it - never got into Paradise as heavily as Burnout 3. Until then, it only takes a few minutes to implement this fix. #NEED FOR SPEED HOT PURSUIT REMASTERED STEERING WHEEL PATCH#There will no doubt be a patch sooner or later. This game is incredibly polished and has huge production values and I am sure EA doesn’t want it to end up in the bargain bin with the disasters known as Split Second and Blur. It is inexcusable for the biggest racing franchise out there to not fully and properly support wheels. The Verdictįor the time being, I think Racer_S gives us a great fix to be able to enjoy the game with our wheel. #NEED FOR SPEED HOT PURSUIT REMASTERED STEERING WHEEL MOD#If you want an easy explanation of using this download, at least until Criterion/EA get a patch to improve things, check out this helpful article for using the mod and adjusting the Profiler dead zone. Secondly, you should add a 2-3% dead zone in your Logitech Profiler under Steering Wheel > Axis Properties. Cheat detection mechanisms might think you modded the game to cheat. Two caveats! First, this is not official (even though EA should buy it from him and implement the change) so Racer_S says not to use it online. Here is a link to the file at SolidlyStated. This file will eliminate the dead zone, allow the use of your paddle shifters, correct force feedback, and give you 1:1 steering. #NEED FOR SPEED HOT PURSUIT REMASTERED STEERING WHEEL DOWNLOAD#The second option– download a file made by racing community member Racer_S at. Quick and official, but it doesn’t totally solve the problem. To do this, you just lower your degrees of rotation to 180-200. Your first option– shrink the dead zone by also shrinking the steering range. This is very frustrating and unplayable if you don’t have someone to help out.
